1. Getting Started

Welcome to GoLyngo — the app that translates your everyday language into Gen Z slang or polished corporate speak. Here's how to get up and running:

  1. Download the App — GoLyngo is available on the App Store for iOS devices. Search for "GoLyngo" or tap the download link on our homepage.
  2. Open the App — Once installed, tap the GoLyngo icon to launch. No account or sign-up is required.
  3. Choose a Mode — Select either Slang Mode or Corporate Mode from the main screen to start translating.
  4. Type or Speak — Enter text manually or tap the microphone icon to use voice input. Your translation appears instantly.

2. Translation Modes

GoLyngo offers two core translation modes, each designed for a different vibe:

Slang Mode

Converts everyday language into Gen Z slang that actually sounds natural. Perfect for texts, social media captions, or just understanding what the youths are saying. No more "How do you do, fellow kids" energy.

Corporate Mode

Transforms casual speech into polished, boardroom-ready corporate speak. Ideal for drafting emails, preparing for meetings, or making your Slack messages sound impressively professional.

3. Meme Decoder

Not sure what a meme means? GoLyngo's Meme Decoder has you covered. Upload any meme image and get a full breakdown including:

Simply tap the camera icon, select or snap a photo of the meme, and let GoLyngo do the rest.

4. Voice Input

GoLyngo supports voice-first input so you can translate on the go. Tap the microphone button, speak naturally, and your words are captured and translated in real time. Voice input works in both Slang Mode and Corporate Mode.

5. Boomer Meter

Every translation comes with a real-time Boomer Meter score — our proprietary cringe detector that rates how out-of-touch your original phrase was on a scale from "Boomer" to "Slay." It's a fun way to see just how much GoLyngo is helping you level up your communication.

6. Share Sheet

GoLyngo's custom share sheet lets you turn every translation into a fun, personalized card to send to friends. Tap the Share button after any translation to open the editor.

Decorate Your Card

Use the tabs at the top of the share sheet to browse and add decorations to your translation card:

Drag, Drop & Resize

All stickers, emojis, and GIFs can be dragged and dropped anywhere on your translation card. Pinch to resize them however you like — go big and bold or keep things subtle. Arrange everything exactly how you want for a custom, shareable creation.

Share to Your Favorite Apps

When your card looks perfect, share it directly to:

You can also tap Share as Video to export your decorated translation card as a video, perfect for stories and reels.

7. Audio Playback

Want to hear how your translation sounds before you use it? Tap the speaker icon to hear the translated phrase spoken aloud. This helps you nail the delivery and makes sure it sounds right before you hit send.

8. Surprise Me

Not sure what to translate? Tap the Surprise Me button to get a random phrase to translate. It's a fun way to explore new slang, expand your corporate vocabulary, and discover phrases you didn't know you needed.

9. Subscription & Billing

GoLyngo offers a free tier with basic features. To unlock the full experience — including unlimited translations, Meme Decoder, and advanced features — you can subscribe to GoLyngo Premium.

10. Troubleshooting

App won't open or crashes on launch

Make sure you're running the latest version of GoLyngo and that your device is updated to the latest version of iOS. Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app.

Voice input isn't working

Ensure GoLyngo has microphone permissions enabled. Go to Settings > GoLyngo > Microphone on your device and make sure it's toggled on.

Translation seems off or inaccurate

GoLyngo uses AI-powered translation, and while we're constantly improving, some phrases may not translate perfectly. Try rephrasing your input or providing more context for better results.

Subscription not recognized

If your premium features aren't showing up after subscribing, try tapping Restore Purchases in the app settings. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Meme Decoder not recognizing an image

The Meme Decoder works best with clear, well-known meme formats. If a meme isn't being recognized, make sure the image is clear and not cropped too tightly. Obscure or very niche memes may not be in our database yet.
